An eye-candy doesn’t always have to be elaborate. We’ll whip up a delicious chocolate pie with strawberries using ingredients that everyone has in the house. All you must do is run out and get some fresh strawberries. The preparation is very simple, and the longest time is the cooling time.

For a pie tin with Ø 20 cm

For the crust

  • 150 g flour
  • 80 g cold vegan butter
  • 50 g raw cane sugar or brown sugar

For the ganache

  • 200 g iChoc Choco Cookie Chocolate
  • 125 g soy cream

For the decoration

  • fresh strawberries

How to make it

1. Combine all the ingredients for the crust until it forms a ball. Leave to cool in the fridge for 10 minutes.

2. Roll out the dough to about 3 mm thick. Line the bottom and sides of the tin with pastry. Bake at 200 °C for 20 minutes. Then allow to cool completely.

3. In the meantime, prepare the ganache. Break the chocolate into pieces and place in a bowl. Pour over hot soy cream and stir in small circles until a silky, shiny ganache is formed. This may take about 4-5 minutes.

4. Pour the ganache into the pie crust and leave to cool in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight.

5. Before serving, decorate with cleaned, halved strawberries.
