For us, it simply doesn\u2019t add up if the ingredients in our chocolates meet high organic standards, but their packaging does not.<\/p>\n
We have decided to wrap our iChoc varieties in a film made from FSC-certified wood fibre<\/strong>. Although this film looks like plastic, it is made from renewable raw materials<\/strong> (certified to DIN CERTCO Registration No. 7H0037 \/\/ T\u00dcV Austria TA8021601615). It can therefore be conveniently disposed of in your home compost bin in accordance with the \u2018OK compost HOME\u2019 standard (T\u00dcV Austria). For our chocolates, this film is currently the solution that meets our requirements for product protection and materials.<\/p>\n We are occasionally asked whether the film could be omitted altogether. Unfortunately, this is not possible, as adequate product protection could not otherwise be guaranteed. Cocoa is a very fatty raw material that is sensitive to external influences and would absorb contaminants or foreign flavours.<\/p>\n The outer box of our chocolate is made from FSC\u00ae-certified cardboard<\/strong>, produced using wood from certified forestry.
